Preferred Referrals

Preferred Referrals offer a combination of independent and assisted living apartments, skilled nursing and dementia care, available to seniors of all faiths. The facilities are located in Northern, Central and Southern California, in both urban and rural settings. The Preferred Referrals offer discounts and incentives for Knights and others who are referred through CRH's Columbian Senior Advisory Service. In developing this program, Senior Care Solutions has toured and continues to network with these Preferred Referrals. Currently our Preferred Referrals are the following:

Columbian Retirement Center:

Columbian Retirement Center is located in Marysville and offers independent living. The two-story, garden style building includes 19 bedrooms each with a private shower and bath. A few of the Columbian Center's amenities include 3 meals a day, housekeeping and laundry services, an on-site chapel, garden areas, and a library. The community is also situated across the street from old St. Joseph's Catholic Church and is conveniently located near Marysville Knights of Columbus Council, No. 1869. Owned and operated by Columbian Retirement Home, Inc., the Columbian Retirement Center is truly a home for Brother Knights by Brother Knights.

Hughson Samaritan Village is a premier senior retirement community nestled among the serene and peaceful setting of orchards in Hughson, CA. Located in the heart of the beautiful San Joaquin Valley, we offer a superior quality of life for our residents and guests.

Mercy McMahon Terrace is conveniently located in downtown Sacramento, close to numerous doctors' offices, hospitals and shopping. The community offers assisted living and independent living options with three different apartment models to choose from. Some of the community's amenities include a chapel for mass and interfaith services, a billiards room, a wellness clinic for proactive health maintenance, a craft and game room, and an interior courtyard. They also have 24/7 nursing staff to appropriately meet their residents' needs and offer three easy to understand care plans.


The Alma Via Properties located in Union City, San Rafael, San Francisco and Camarillo are all managed by Elder Care Alliance and offer both assisted living and memory care programs. Their BridgeHaven Program provides a structured environment for residents with mild-to-moderate degrees of memory loss while The Gardens offers specially designed memory-support programs for residents with memory loss due to Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. These communities have a variety of floor plans to choose from and some of their amenities include an on-site beauty salon, housekeeping and laundry services, lively activities, educational and entertaining programs, spiritual care and social services, as well as a pet friendly environment.

Elder Care Alliance is proud of the collaborative effort between the City of Union City and Elder Care Alliance which helped developed this special community. AlmaVia Independent Assisted Living is part of the city's senior village, which provides a wonderful range of amenities and services for older adults. AlmaVia serves up to 96 residents in need of respite, assisted living and memory care services. AlmaVia offers one bedrooms, studios, and shared suites in an upscale, warm environment located close to Fremont and Hayward. In addition, our one of a kind BridgeHaven program allows couples to stay together when one or both are in need of memory care services.
